Rural family photos in the surrounding regions of Canberra
The day I met this family out on their property for their family photos in Murrumbateman, I nearly forgot to pack enclosed shoes. This might not have typically been a problem, except that I was expecting a big hike as the property is surrounded by gorgeous mountainous ranges and forests. I definitely wanted to make the most of those amazing landscapes. I remembered at the very last minute and threw them into my car, ready to go!
Anna and her family live on a 120-hectare site called Warrambui. It has beautiful, tranquil views, eucalypt and pine forests and peaceful walking trails. Warrambui functions as a retreat and conference centre and often has groups of all varieties staying there throughout the year. It was a very special treat for me to be able to explore this vast property. And we found so many special spots that were beautiful and also important to the family.
Arriving at the beautiful, wooden lodge I am greeted by Josh and Noah. Both are incredibly happy and excited to get started. Noah who is 9, is a big help to me. After asking him to be my special helper. He assists me with posing his family, picking out where good places are to have photos taken, and works his magic on his little brother (3) to make him laugh and smile. Big brothers and sisters are great for helping out with their younger siblings when it comes to getting them to smile!
Here are some of the photos from the session. I am so glad that they will be hanging these on the walls in their home.
