I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this family of seven (nine if you include their lovely horses)! The setting is the stunning location of Uriarra Village and we used the family’s agistment paddock. As every photo session goes there a highs and lows. Moments of hysteria and doubled over laughter – like when I asked who the most ticklish was and they all started to tickle Ruby (one of the twins). And sometimes there are tears – like when Josie (the other twin) got stuck in a drain that she was exploring while Mum & Dad were having the photos taken. It was quite traumatic, there was a spider which was quite huge, and we weren’t quite sure if we might need to get some detergent to loosen things up in there. But the result (once we’d finally managed to get her out – no need for detergent) was that her twin sister comforted her and I grabbed some last pics of them together which were just beautiful.
There are so many dynamics of a large family and it was simply a blast to capture a glimpse of what it is like to be a part of a big family.
P.S I think these guys should sign up to be one of those model families. They are so photogenic and beautiful!
